Our Philosophy:
We love our dogs. They are incredibly special to us and have amazing personalities. We can talk about the dogs to people in great depth as members of our family. That does not mean we treat them like people. They are still dogs. We do not state this to degrade them at all - we believe dogs are a fascinating species that deserve our utmost respect. We can spend hours with them and still miss them 10 minutes later. Our philosophy is to allow our dogs to be the best dogs they can be. We want to allow them to be dogs - not people. A lot of dog owners treat their canines as people in fur, but we try to understand them as dogs. We pay attention to their subtle behaviors and study material written by people far more experienced than ourselves so that we can interpret their language and attempt to communicate with them effectively. We strive for a mutual respect between humans and canines, allowing us to achieve the best possible relationship. When we take in a dog to Brinbella, it is forever. We can not take in every dog, but when we make that decision – it is for keeps. No dog is forced to do anything at Brinbella except be themselves.

Pure and simple, I wanted more dogs. I always wanted a big family - just not the typical kind. After three dogs, I realized that we would need to "do something" with them, or they would be bored. Therefore, siberians = mushing. The dogs are family first, then sled dogs. We love and play, and run second. Running is something we do because they enjoy it. Running must always be fun but miles or time is never the priority. We try to challenge them as their skill grows, but it is always their choice to stay or go.
