Magnum came to us in January 2008 - he needed a less stressful environment. Of course, Magnum was used to running 20-30 miles at a time. We ran on the weekends and all he had to do during the week was play. Towards the end of each week when it came close to the time of running, he would look at us, and say, "Do you guys do anything here but play?? - When do you run around here?"
He's been a great asset to us - shortly after he arrived, we adopted Aiko from a shelter. He hadnt ever run, and we put him next to Magnum in wheel. Magnum was instrumental in teaching Aiko how to run in harness.
The thing I love about Magnum is that he is such a goooooof!!! He's got this look about his face that you cant help but love. Everytime he sits (on his own) he lifts his paw for me (he doesnt for Nik). He is learning to sit on command for his cookies (or is starting to if he already knew) and he loves his massages. Sometimes he boots Ky or Aiko out of the way, but generally he is passive and doesnt push his way around the yard.
