Personality Traits: Payson will lick you all day long. He is probably the loudest dog in the yard.
Favorite Toys: Kong used to make these toys called “QTease” – they were stuffed birds with a squeaky tennis ball in the belly, attached to the rope. He LOVED them…but Kong stopped making them. Poor Pace. He on the hunt for a new favorite toy. Send him a recommendation and he will let everyone know on his page what he thinks!

Payson is none other than a lovebug. If he could kiss you all day long, he would be in heaven! He loves his sister Cleo dearly and to this day thinks Finnegan is like, the coolest dog ever! Payson has the potential to be a really good lead dog. Initially we tried him that position, because, well, we needed him. We also thought it would give him some confidence. When he led with Addie last year, he always deferred to her, but they will be running on opposite teams this year, so we are excited to see what he will do. Its wonderful to see him grow into a fabulously committed sled dog and still retain his sweet personality.
The worst thing about Payson, hence his registered name, is his ability to clearly announce, what everyone else in the yard is visually aware of, ie, the food is coming, mom or dad are coming, a bird in the tree, someone has a toy, etc.
